The Spine Council, a non-profit organization, was created by a group of highly experienced spine surgeons, spine reimbursement specialists and certified medical coders specializing in spine surgery. The Spine Council was created to be mutually beneficial to physicians and industry professionals alike in the areas of spine coding and reimbursement. Through an unbiased review process, The Spine Council is designed to aid in the resolution of disputed claims and will assist you in obtaining full reimbursement for your spine procedures. As a completely independent third party, The Spine Council will review disputed claims and all the appropriate supporting documentation, delivering an independent expert opinion based on the CPT coding rules and accepted standards of documentation.

The Spine Council will also assist its spine industry members by reviewing the coding and reimbursement issues associated with their particular products. This benefit allows The Spine Council to provide its spine industry members with an independent evaluation for their spinal products in accordance with the accepted rules of spine reimbursement.
